Since 1978, Western Fitness has been working to deliver quality fitness equipment to help individuals achieve their fitness goals. Fitness is what we all see on the outside, but what about how we fuel the our bodies on the inside. The Healthy Living Bistro & Boutique has taken this vision one step further by helping promote healthy living on the inside through homemade dining and Canadian sourced products.

Lions Creek Olive Oils & Balsamics

  • Lions Creek olive oils are direct-from-farm via the Lions Creek Olive Estate. The Extra Virgin Olive Oil is made with premium olives such as Coratina, Frantoio, Barnea, Koroneika, and Favoloza which are harvested in South Africa.

  • Lions Creek extra virgin olive oil is the highest grade of virgin oil derived from cold mechanical extraction without the use of solvents or refining methods, and contains no more than 0.8% free acidity. This gives Lions Creek Extra Virgin Olive Oil a superior fruity and fresh olive taste, especially when compared to the cheaper alternatives found at your local grocery store.

    The balsamic are made from a variety of cooked Italian grapes including Lambrusco, Sangiovese, Trebbiano, Albana, Ancellotta, Fortana and Montuni. This gives Lions Creek balsamics a sweet, slight fruity, and wood aroma.

  • Extra virgin olive oil contains large quantities of healthy monounsaturated fats, antioxidants, and a moderate amount of vitamins E and K. The main monounsaturated fat in olive oils is oleic acid, which studies suggest reduces inflammation and may even have beneficial effects on genes linked to cancer. Due to extra virgin olive oil being high in monounsaturated fats, it is resistant to high heat and is a healthy cooking alternative with extraordinary health benefits.

  • In some cases, the health benefits of extra virgin olive oil can fade over time as a bottle sits, is subject to direct sunlight, as well as frequent oxygen exposure after every pour. With Lions Creek products, you will never have to worry about the loss of taste or health benefits. This is because the bottles are deliberately made darker to defend the product from light exposure, and use a spout specifically engineered with argon gas to keep every pour as fresh and as flavourful as the first.

  • Made with the seasons with our staple strawberry spinach to accompany our sandwiches. All dressings are made with the award winning Lions Creek EVOO and Balsamics.

  • Working with Tea Sommelier Katie Cyr to bring Saskatoon the best blends of teas. Monarch Teas is in Hamilton Ontario and we love working with them!

  • Monach Teas has been featured in Tea Time magazine , UK Tea & Herbal Magazine and spoken at the RBG Tea Festival & Toronto Tea Fest. Katie placed first of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Business Achievement Awards in the Young Entrepreneur category AND is a part of the Tea & Herbal Association of Canada.

Foothills Ice Cream

  • Based in Alberta Canada Foothills Creamery was founded in 1969. They has proudly produced dairy products and served Western Canada for over 50 years.

  • This old fashioned technique of barrel churned is what gives Foothills Ice cream a richer taste. They also use real buttermilk from cows across Western Canada.

McQuarries Coffee & Espresso Drinks

  • McQuarries Tea & Coffee Merchants is a multi-generational family owned and operated business serving Saskatoon for over 90 years. Since 2011, it has been proudly owned by Adam Anton, who took over the family business after his father, John, retired.

  • McQuarries offers over 70 coffee varieties from all over the world.

ChocoSol Chocolate

  • ChocoSol takes raw cacao beans from roast, winnow, and grind them into chocolate all in their production kitchen in Toronto, Ontario.

  • Since the beginning, they have been working directly with farmers and co-operatives, putting money into the hands of community members.

  • Since the beginning, ChocoSol has used volcanic stone wheels instead of industrial steel to grind their cacao into chocolate. Using this more rustic approach results in chocolate that has an unforgettably rich and full tasting experience. This method also means our chocolate retains more of the nutritional benefits of cacao—antioxidants, iron, magnesium, and much more.
